My home is an upper part of a house which is right beside a pub, it's
got no garden, & on a Friday or Saturday night it gets a bit noisy
next door.
Ive been attacked a number of times in the last 8 years, stabbed mugged
& threatned with knives, & both my parents cars (theyre
separated but live on my road)
have been broken into & smashed up a number of times in the last 2
years.
My grandmothers nextdoor neighbour was broken into twice in 1 week.
But this is Clontarf, one of the nicest & most exspensive area's of
Dublin to live.
It costs an arm and a leg to live here, rent for my one bedroom flat
goes over the €700 per month mark, & thats cheap.
There is nowhere in the city centre that you can get a reasonably
priced healthy lunch for less than €7, car insurance is
unbelievably exspensive, so is food, cinema, gyms, public
transport............
This lifestyle in this place is getting to me, & I want to leave it
behind but thats not all.
I want to live a healthier life, have a more natural way of living,
while keeping my comforts.
I want to eat nothing but organic foods, brath fresh air,and have the
beauty of nature at my fingertips.
But I also want my internet, my mobile phone, & my electric
applyances.
In short I want to have my own small farm, not for commercial
production but to be self sustaining.
Of coarse I would have a part time job as well (not as a farmer), but I
want to be self sufficient in food, water, & energy.
I cant imagine anything greater than being able work a farm with my
wife & children, and no better way to bring up a family.
